Protect Yourself – Use The Whistleblower Hotline

When you feel that you have a valid reason to make a whistleblower report, never proceed on your own. You can access and utilize the free services of a local whistleblower hotline, in an anonymous way, to make sure you know your rights. Most cities and regions have free, government supported, whistleblower hotline offices.

The job of hotline personnel is to make sure you understand your rights, your possible protections, and the dangers that can arise from making a false or incomplete and unsubstantiated whistleblowers report. The hotline personnel are there to help you. However, it is important to understand, they are not necessarily on your side. They are trained to be factual, and remain neutral at all times.
